I chose to get an oral appliance for sleep apnea rather than use a CPAP machine. After a disappointing experience with a recommended sleep dentist, my sleep neurologist’s office recommended Dr. Sykes, and I am so glad I received that recommendation. He has been wonderful! The Panthera mandibular advancement device I received from the previous provider never fit properly, and would easily come off my teeth; the previous provider failed to respond to my concerns initially, and when I brought up the same concerns at a later date, the solution she offered involved applying veneers to my teeth so the device would fit better. Yikes! Needless to say, I chose not to alter my teeth so that the device would fit better! Dr. Sykes made me the same Panthera mandibular advancement device (they are very light-weight and easy to tolerate), but used a much more sophisticated method to take measurements of my teeth; consequently, the device fits so much better. I am so relieved! Dr. Sykes is delightful…warm, responsive and genuine…and his staff members are pleasant and helpful. I could not be happier with with both the care and the device I received! I highly recommend Dr. Sykes to anyone interested
